The number of Microstock agencies on the market is constantly changing in recent years. It ‘a very dynamic industry, with the historical giants who continue to play a leading role on one side, while on the other side there’s a continuous rise-and-fall of new agencies trying to get out of the crowd, sometimes focusing on a content which is dedicated to specific territories or topics.

The following table lists the main Microstock agencies, according to specific evaluation criteria, based on my personal opinion of some crucial elements of the relationship between the contributor and the microstock agency (eg. admission process, uploading tools, commissions, services and statistics, etc.). In the table you can see the full review for each agency and my personal rating.

For non exclusivist contributors (like me) the advice is to work with at least 10 different agencies. The following ranking is designed as a tool to allow you to concentrate your energies only on those agencies that have a better reputation and to improve the efficiency of the time it takes to prepare and send the images, compared the real benefits in terms of sales.
